The beauty of marine life has always captured me, scientifically and as an artist. I am a marine biologist, which I studied in Germany and Italy.
Over the years the artistic side has intensified more and more. To capture images and feelings of the marine world, the beautiful effects of the BIG BLUE and the variety of marine life has become my passion. I aspire to create images, colours and reflections of the undersea world as I have experienced it, but still allow my work to be full of fantasy and imagination.
The results are vibrant ocean views, portrays of the sea creatures and imaginary worlds. My passion for the marine environment and conservation is my driving force and is reflected in my work.
My paintings are held in private collections around the world including North America, Europe and Australia.
WHY WE'RE ONE OF A KIND
As a marine biologist and painter, I hold a strong understanding of the subject matter which is always very well received by my customers. I am also a certified scuba diving instructor (VDST/CMAS&PADI)
I have been painting marine life art for some years now. My work sometimes is an abstract view of fish and sometimes I get caught up in the details. Since I was privileged to discover our oceans first hand, I have been trying to transform my passion into art work so that everyone may enjoy it.
I am constantly exploring new techniques to create my art. I really enjoy using various media, mostly acrylic paint and ink, but also pencil and pastel. I also love experimenting with materials found in nature to add new looks and effects to my art work.
